First day at school

First day at school is very important for your child. First impression plays important role in forming the overall impression and the desire of the child in the study. That's why you should make a proper preparation of the first visit your child at school.

Here are some tips on how to make the first day of your child to school or kindergarten exciting and memorable:
 

*. First day at school should not be the first. It would be better for you and your child if you make an introductory visit to the school. It is a great opportunity for children to familiarize themselves with the classroom and teachers.

*. Familiarize your child with his classmates. It will not be so scary to enter the classroom for the first time if you know someone there. How to organize? You can ask for phone numbers of other parents and school staff to make a few phone calls before school starts. Organize a meeting with their children. This will contribute greatly to the confidence of your child .


*. Give your child a chance to communicate. Social skills play important role in the adaptation of your child in the new environment. If your child attended kindergarten or other pre-school institution, he or she probably will not have problems getting along with people. But if he or she has no such experience you should try to organize it. You can take your child in summer camps or play groups to develop their social skills.
*. Familiarize your child with school (kindergarten) routine. If you have the opportunity to visit the school in advance to try to explain all the rules of the school. It will be useful to write the name of your child on the back of the bag and lunch bag, etc. Explain the purpose of each element to your child so he or she will be able to pack the satchel by his own.
*. Before school starts checkup for your child. Health check should include vision and hearing screening. Very often, students have problems in school due to health problem. Also all the necessary vaccinations should be given to your child before school.
